The Holistic Health Screen
This comprehensive package costs £350, and includes the following:
- Health Questionnaire – Covering your health, lifestyle and diet.
- Medical Consultation – To enable you to discuss your areas of concern or interest.
- Full physical Examination – Includes lungs/heart/abdomen and glands; for women option of breast and pelvic examination where appropriate; for men optional rectal/prostate and testicular examination where appropriate. A chaperone of the opposite gender to the clinician can be provided.
- Posture Assessment – Good posture is vital for health.
- Measurements – Pulse, Blood Pressure, Respiratory Rate, Peak Respiratory Flow Rate, Weight, Height, Body Mass Index, Body Fat percentage, Cardiac Risk Score.
- Immediate Tests –Urine tests for protein, blood, leucocytes (infection) and glucose.
- Laboratory blood tests–
Blood Cholesterol plus differential (harmful LDL and triglyceride levels, protective HDL cholesterol).
Full Blood Count (includes haemoglobin, red and white cell count, platelets).
Kidney function (urea and creatinine).
Liver Function tests (includes bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, gamma-glutanyl transferase, protein, albumin, calcium, phosphate, urate).
Blood Glucose level (preferably fasting level). - Other tests - Hair mineral analysis to assess mineral deficiencies and toxic heavy metal levels (including: calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, iron, copper, zinc, chromium, manganese, selenium, nickel, cobalt, lead, mercury, arsenic, aluminium).
